Theoretical and Numerical Investigations on Static Characteristics of Aerostatic Porous Journal Bearings

چکیده

To investigate the static characteristics of aerostatic journal bearings with porous bushing, flow model—in which compressibility lubricating gas is considered—is established based on Reynolds lubrication equation, Darcy equation for material, and continuity equation. With finite difference method, schemes non-uniform grids, relaxation virtual node numerical method governing equations compressible in proposed. The effects nominal clearance are analyzed. Under same minimum film thickness compressibility, as widens, load capacity, mass rate, power consumption increase. clearance, increase polytropic index, capacity strengthens, while rate decline. This study could provide a reference design bearings.
